The hitches experienced with the use of the card readers were evaded in the just concluded governorship election in Bayelsa state, according to observers and voters.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria, James Dou, a domestic election observer in Anyama-Ijaw said that the card readers deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to the area performed effectively.
He said: “The card readers are performing well and we have no problems with it; INEC did well and corrected the problems noticed during the cancelled polls, last year.”
