Nigeria’s Flamingoes To Play Against Namibia On January 8

The U17 female team, the Flamingos will play host to Namibia in the  2016 world cup friendly qualifier, on Friday, January 8.

The Flamingos who have been training in Abuja ahead of the two-leg qualifier haven qualified for the competition last year.


The team will be under the the supervision of coach Bala Nkiyu at the game which will come up between August 8 to 12, 2016 in Jordan.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye has expressed delight for starting the year with a bang after his goal helped Olympiacos to defeat Panionios on Sunday, January 4. Ideye gave his side all three points as he scored in the 79th minute to give his side a 3-1 win.
“So good to beginning the year with a Bang!! Difficult game tonight but we came back strongđź”´⚪️ #thankful #olympiacos,” Ideye tweeted.
He has now scored seven goals in Greek league. Olympiacos lead the table with 48 points after winning all 16 league games this season.
Ideye’s first goal of 2016 comes days after a Ukrainian woman, Alex, accused him of neglecting her and the two children they both had together.
According to a number posts on the Instagram page of Alex, the Nigerian international footballer who plays as a central striker for Greek club Olympiacos FC fathered two children with the Ukrainian woman. Exposing the footballer, Alex accused him of abandoning the two children.
