Chelsea Set To Sign12-Year-Old Barcelona Player

There are reports that Chelsea football club are making frantic efforts to bring 12-year-old Barcelona starlet, Xavi Simons to Stamford Bridge.

Xavi tries to nutmeg two defenders.
It was disclosed that the London club initially made a bid for the youngster but failed to sign him in 2014.

Xavi’s father, Regillio, who was also a footballer played for a number of teams in the Dutch elite league Eredivisie across his own career and his exceptional skills is being monitored by Roman Abramovich’s men.
The very young and talented midfielder who with an eye-catching head of blonde hair was been so exceptional in recent La Liga Promises youth tournament, a tourney which is peculiarly flooded by scouts.
According Xavi’s father Regillio, the reports will not distract his son’s progress.
“We have spoken to Chelsea and you know it’s going to be good money at Chelsea. Agents approach me to say they are working for English clubs or Spanish clubs.
“It can’t touch me. I’m not someone who will be starry-eyed. Barcelona is already a big club and it brings him some kind of pressure and he is handling it well. That’s good for me,” he said.
The proud father also revealed that club agents had been putting pressure on him.
“Agents are everywhere. Even at a younger age they were starting to approach me making offers for Xavi, asking to be his agents, offering shoes and contracts and money like you can’t imagine.
“That’s the world of football now. You can’t stop it. For a lot of parents it must be difficult. It happens fast and if you are looking for money and clubs are offering it in large amounts, it makes sense to say yes. We don’t need any of that just now. We are trying to keep them away, in a polite way.
“Xavi’s development is the most important thing. We want him in the right surroundings. Even if we need to move, it is the development that’s important. Not the money.”
